After clearing some serious flooding from the field, we put up a good fight in Game One and were beaten anyway. Joe argued pretty much every call, and Freddie made some fine plays at 3rd. I don't remember anything of interest offensively, but that probably has more to do with my awful memory than anything.
Then, of course, without your fearless leader in Game Two you all wilted like flowers in a window with no water. I was told something about a 13 run first inning and then things going downhill.
Having said that, we fell to 3-5 on the season and are staring down a game next weekend against the fucking Reds. Click on the picture below to find some motivation for this weekend's quest to return to .500. I do not see updates on the other results, so I cannot guess at our position in the standings.
